Otter now prefers a server it can reach directly before reaching for a VPN, and the share controls say exactly what they do.

🏠 Direct connections first

No VPN when you are already at home.

In Manual, Adaptive and Connect Once modes, Otter prefers a locally reachable server before starting, or waiting for, a configured VPN.
Registered-network restrictions are still respected, and a VPN-only setup is treated as a fallback path.

Manual shares and automatic shares behave the way their labels say.

Disconnecting a Manual share no longer creates an automatic-mount pause, and pause controls are hidden when there are no automatic shares.
Menu bar and Preferences wording now distinguishes Manual shares from shares Otter keeps connected.
New Always Show Server Name preference, plus singular and plural share counts in the menu.
